due to the nature of video compression algo-rithms, they unknowingly generated a method of visualising these abstract computed mo-tions. it’s a memory of the movement con-tained in one time-based sequence. these images show us a glimpse of how computers perceive visual information. unlike humans, they see them through data. what feels like “errors” and “glitches”, the work remediates them as a memory of the purest form of move-ment. these ideas are explored through still images and moving images.
